Aerobatic Superstars Converge on Atlanta Thursday

Thursday is arrival day at the 2015 Great Georgia Air Show, which is being held this weekend at Falcon Field in Peachtree City, Georgia, just south of Atlanta. This year's show features the world's top military and civilian performers, along with numerous other attractions.

Thursday morning, the performers begin arriving to Falcon Field and preparing for one of the final air shows of the 2015 show season. Aerobatic superstars Mike Goulian, Sean D. Tucker, and Jeff Boerboon are all set to arrive, and will be joined by the United States Navy Blue Angels. The Blue Angels and their support aircraft, a C-130 Hercules affectionately known as Fat Albert, are scheduled to arrive around 10:00 am. Upon arrival, they'll visit with media and air show officials before taking to the skies just after lunch time for circle and arrival maneuvers. The team will then close out the day with a full practice demonstration spanning over an hour's time.

The 2015 Great Georgia Air Show is set to be the largest air show in the Metro Atlanta area since 2010, when the Blue Angels last performed at Dobbins Air Reserve Base in Marietta, Georgia. Over 90,000 people are expected to attend the show throughout the weekend, although a high chance of rain threatens Sunday's show.
