Michael Goulian Set to Make Wings Over North Georgia Debut

The fifth annual Wings over North Georgia Air Show is set to kick off in just a few days at Richard B. Russell Field in Rome, Georgia. The United States Air Force Thunderbirds are set to make their second appearance at the rising show, and they'll be joined by one of the industry's top aerobatic superstars.

Michael Goulian, born into an aviation family, grew up around airplanes, and soloed on his 16th birthday. One year later, Mike began aerobatic training, and at the age of 22, he became the youngest to ever win a U.S. National Aeronatic Championship.

Michael is one of only two Americans to compete in the prestigious Red Bull Air Race Championships. In 2016, he has balanced a full Air Show and Air race schedule, flying all across the globe in eight Red Bull Air Races and 11 air shows. Michael wraps up his 2016 season this weekend in Rome, Georgia, just days after performing in Huntington Beach, California before transiting his Extra 330SC from one side of the country to the other.

The Goodyear Aviation Extra 330SC is matched by no other aircraft in the world. Custom built to Michael's specifications, it's lighter, faster, and more maneuverable than any other aircraft of its type. It has a top speed of 260 mph and stalls at an impressive 60 mph. It rolls at 380 degrees per second and can handle plus or minus 10 G's. For a chance to see Michael Goulian and the Extra 330SC, make sure to come out to this weekend's Wings Over North Georgia Air Show.
