The Ocean City Air Show announced Monday evening that the United States Air Force Thunderbirds will make the trip to Ocean City this week. 

The Thunderbirds announced in December that they would headline the 2016 Ocean City Air Show in Ocean City, Maryland. However, a crash June 2nd in Colorado Springs, Colorado involving Thunderbird 6, Major Alex Turner, left the fate of their 2016 season unknown.

The team returned to the skies above Nellis AFB less than a week after the crash, but cancelled their appearances at both Kirtland AFB in New Mexico and in North Kingstown, Rhode Island.
