Thunderbird F-16 Crashes After Air Force Academy Graduation
COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO - A Thunderbird F-16 Fighting Falcon has crashed in Colorado Springs following Thursday's U.S. Air Force Academy Graduation flyover.
The pilot has been reported to be Thunderbird #6, Major Alex Turner. The 2016 team's Opposing Solo, Major Turner was tasked with demonstrating the maximum performance capabilities of the F-16.
Major Turner ejected safely from the plane, and has been reported to be okay. He's currently being evaluated by Air Force Academy paramedics.
The cause of the crash is unknown, and no one on the ground was affected by the crash.
