Social Media Explodes During Breakfast with the Blues
Red, White, and Blues Week kicked off Wednesday morning with 'Breakfast with the Blues.' The Blue Angels took to the skies for the first time all week for Circle and Arrival Maneuvers over Pensacola Beach in preparation of this week's flight demonstrations, which begin Thursday afternoon and run through Saturday, which is the actual show.
Although the team is based right here in Pensacola, Florida, the team very rarely has an opportunity to fly a complete show over the beach. So, they must still familiarize themselves with 5 miles worth of beach, land, and water surrounded by the aerobatic box used for this weekend's Pensacola Beach Air Show.
For a two-hour span Wednesday morning, that's exactly what the team did. They made dozens of passes up and down the beach before joining up and performing a few complete maneuvers before returning to NAS Pensacola.
