Back in early March, the U.S. Air Force and Department of Defense issued a stop movement until May 15, suspending all large event public outreach activities and support to community events. Monday, the Department of Defense announced the stop movement has been extended to June 30.

This suspension includes, but not limited to, on-base and civilian sponsored air shows, band performances, and community engagements and meetings which involve large gatherings. All appearances by Air Combat Command single-ship demonstration teams as well as the Thunderbirds have been cancelled through June 30.

While all public demonstrations have been cancelled, all demonstration teams remain active and are training to maintain readiness and proficiency, with hopes that some of the 2020 season will be spared. The United States Air Force Thunderbirds have spent the last two weekends conducting flyovers of Las Vegas and several Colorado communities, with more flyovers expected to be announced this coming week.
